About Buddhika

Buddhika founded Meetrix and runs it as CEO. He came up through engineering rather than the commercial side, and set the technical direction for the WebRTC and video products the company is built on: the Jitsi Meet stack, Coturn, Kurento Media Server and the signalling and scaling work that holds a real-time video platform together.

His own background is in computer vision and image processing, including a peer-reviewed IEEE paper on detection and classification work using OpenCV, and he moved from there into real-time video systems. He studied Engineering at the University of Moratuwa.

He is also co-founder and CTO of ScreenApp, which builds AI recording, transcription and summarisation tools, and has worked on Tutopiya and Carevo. Most of his time now goes on running the business across both companies.

Yes. Meetrix maintains production images for AWS Marketplace and Google Cloud Marketplace, and the guides published here are written while deploying those products on live infrastructure. Screenshots and command output come from that run rather than from vendor documentation.

Who reviews the technical accuracy?

Technical claims are checked against our own deployments and reviewed by the engineer who maintains the relevant image before an article goes live. Corrections are applied to the article itself, and the publish date moves with any substantive update.

How can I get in touch about an article by Buddhika?
