## What is Fooocus?

Fooocus is a GPLv3 image generator built on Stable Diffusion XL. It hides the usual parameters behind a single prompt box and tunes the technical settings for you, so you get good images without learning a node graph or dozens of sliders.

- ### Prompt-first

Describe the image; Fooocus handles the settings.

- ### SDXL models

Built around Stable Diffusion XL for quality results.

- ### Inpainting and image prompts

Edit parts of an image or guide generation with a reference.

- ### REST API

Generate images from your own apps with text-to-image and model-list endpoints.

- ### Any language

Call the API from Python, JavaScript or anything that speaks HTTP.

- ### GPU instance

Runs on a g4dn instance in your own account.

## What's in the Meetrix Fooocus AMI

The AMI ships Fooocus 2.0 with its API already configured on a GPU-ready Ubuntu image.

- Fooocus 2.0 web interface on Ubuntu 22.04
- Fooocus API for text-to-image and model listing
- GPU drivers ready for g4dn instances
- Automatic SSL when your domain is hosted on Route 53
- A CloudFormation template for your own AWS account
- Email support from Meetrix at aws@meetrix.io

## How to set up a self-hosted Fooocus server

1. ### Check your GPU quota

Make sure your account has enough vCPU quota for a g4dn instance in your region.

2. ### Launch the stack

Subscribe on AWS Marketplace and launch the CloudFormation stack. Allow 5-10 minutes.

3. ### Open the dashboard

Use the DashboardUrlIp from the stack outputs, or point your domain at the PublicIp and use that.

4. ### Generate or call the API

Type a prompt in the web UI, or send a text-to-image request to the API.

## Fooocus FAQ

What is Fooocus?

An AI image generator built on Stable Diffusion XL that turns a simple prompt into an image, handling the technical settings for you.

Which instance should I choose?

g4dn.2xlarge is recommended. A GPU is required, so the listing supports g4dn instance types only.

Does it include an API?

Yes. The AMI includes the Fooocus API with text-to-image and model-list endpoints; the full reference is in the Fooocus-API documentation on GitHub.

How do I open the dashboard?

Use the DashboardUrlIp from the stack outputs, or point your domain at the server and use the domain.

What if I see a 502 Bad Gateway error?

Fooocus is still starting. Wait about 5 minutes and refresh.

What if SSL does not set up automatically?

That happens when the domain is not on Route 53. SSH in and run sudo /root/certificate\_generate\_standalone.sh.

Is Fooocus available on Google Cloud?

Not at the moment. The Meetrix Fooocus image is on AWS Marketplace only.

How do I upgrade?

Back up your server data, remove the old stack and launch the new version from AWS Marketplace.
